You need a partner that covers the early stages as carefully as the build.
Renewables From the Ground Up
We support renewable projects from the first study through to operation. USP&E covers pre-construction, engineering and full-scope EPC. USP&E is a full-service EPC and O&M contractor, not a broker.
Pre-Construction and Feasibility
Pre-construction work includes feasibility studies, site surveys, geotechnical and topographic analysis, solar resource assessment, grid connection studies and permitting support. These studies set the project’s real capacity, cost and schedule.
For hybrid plants, feasibility also sizes storage and thermal backup, so firm capacity is part of the plan from the start.
Full-Scope EPC
USP&E’s EPC scope covers civil works, structures, solar arrays, inverters, storage, electrical systems, substations, thermal backup and controls. Everything is commissioned as one plant, then handed over or operated by USP&E.
Solar delivery is also supported by solar EPC delivery, and backup turbines by gas turbines for renewable firming.
Our Offices
Colorado Springs (1755 Telstar Dr, Suite 300) and Knoxville (800 S Gay St, Suite 700) lead US work on renewable project delivery, from site walk-downs to commissioning sign-off. Ask the Cape Town or Colorado Springs team about feasibility support for your site. London (162-168 Regent Street) supports structuring and finance conversations, Johannesburg (22 Kildoon Rd, Bryanston) and Cape Town (31 Brickfield Road, Woodstock) carry African delivery, and Wuxi (No. 1, Ningzhou Road, Wuxi) covers China supply chain and manufacturing. Regions: USA | AFRICA | UK | UAE | CHINA. The record is 150+ power projects in 45+ countries and 25,000 MW contracted since 2002, run by 400+ engineers and project managers. ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified.
Delivery Record
Our renewable work is backed by thermal and turbine projects like these.
- USP&E has refurbished seven GE Frame 6B gas turbines to zero hours in-house for major US hyperscale data-centre developers.
- NEOM, Saudi Arabia: USP&E supplied three zero-hour Siemens SGT-400 gas turbines. Read the case study.
- Kinross Gold, Mauritania: USP&E engineered and executed Caterpillar power station backup for a large-scale mining operation. Read the case study.
