Allowed Claims — and What We Will Not Invent

Fleet hard rules apply. The only FX-45 claims we publish here:

  • 45 MW-class (class language only — not a precise nameplate)
  • Configurable for 50 Hz and 60 Hz
  • Delivery / capacity slots from 2028

We do not invent or publish heat rate, CapEx, commercial pricing, production cadence, combined-cycle totals (such as 120 vs 135 MW CC), precise outputs (such as 45.4 MW), emissions decimals (such as 25 ppm NOx), plot dimensions, or any other numeric performance claim not on the live USP&E site and not listed above. Site guarantees are set in engineering after ambient, altitude, fuel quality, and grid code inputs are known.

Why Modular Firming Wins in Hybrid Plants

Hybrid renewables rarely need one oversized thermal machine on day one. They need firm blocks that can be permitted, fueled, installed, and commissioned in waves as solar fields and storage expand. A 45 MW-class modular turbine aligns with that phasing: one firming block per load step, N+1 at the block level where required, and shared BOP with the renewable yard where it makes engineering sense.

Thermal firming covers multi-hour and multi-day renewable deficits that storage alone is not sized to carry on every project. USP&E’s EPC teams design the fuel train, protection, hybrid EMS interfaces, and switchgear so the modular idea survives contact with real site constraints — frontier dust and heat included.
